Before you choose
Freestanding Patio Covers
Freestanding covers can cost up to 50% more than house-attached covers, depending on configuration. Lead time is approximately 4 weeks.
Because a freestanding cover has no house to brace against, the posts must be stabilized to prevent lateral movement (racking). There are several ways to build it. Choose the one you're planning on — or let us know you're not sure and our team will help.
Freestanding build method
A more cost-effective post-and-gusset combo is in the works. Freestanding builds may require site-specific engineering.
